Doula Training Workshop with RAVEN West Coast Ministries

RAVEN 40/40 is part of RAVEN West Coast Ministries and its primary focus is to equip forty women to minister to pregnant women and their families the first forty days of a child's life by extending the love of Christ through birth doula and post partum support. We seek to reach all pregnant women from the pregnant homeless to the millionaire mothers who live locally and across nations with the good news of Jesus Christ. If you would like to be a part of this RAVEN 40/40 team don't miss this training! This is a workshop for those who wish to assist couples through labor and birth. Approved by Doulas of North American International (DONA).

Santa Rosa, New Orleans, Haiti & to the ends of the earth

Good morning!

The last Friday of January 2010 from 10 am- 6pm we will be wrapping bundles of JOY for babies and mommies. Please email: gonzofamily5@aol.com for more info.

We will be gathering these baby kits in the next weeks to take to New Orleans and give to RAVEN team members from across the nations back to give away to the pregnant women in their cities.

PRAISES:
Pastor Russ and Terry Clifford have offered an opportunity for their youth group to make "80 for Haiti" so, we were able to put together boxes of baby clothes for them to prepare into bundles of JOY!

The kits will be going to Haiti with the first (of many) teams this February, led by Streetwise Ministries, Bobby and Dot Chance. We are SUPER excited that these gifts to the mommies and babies in Haiti will be used to not only clothe the babies but as a humble reminder to all of that God is faithful in providing every need!

If you, your family, your fellowship would like to make some baby kits to be distributed locally (Sonoma County, CA) or globally, please contact us. We would be happy to get you started and give you the clothes and samples to get going4GOD!

Another praise is that we were able to host a baby shower for a local homeless mommy and she gave birth to a beautiful baby last Friday!

If you like to reach out to the homeless, pregnant mothers in your community, these baby kits are a great way to start. Gloria, our friend and partner has opportunities in Sonoma County weekly for you to pray with the homeless mothers.

Another praise is that Lauren and the RAVEN Cal Poly and UCSB teams took the love of JESUS to skidrow this past month in Los Angeles. The baby kits were given away, prayers were shared and JESUS was lifted up in that dark place.

Our porch continues to be overflowed with your donations and Karen and Lori are convinced that the more we give away the more that comes... So, please ask the Lord and it will be given to you! We would be happy to mail you a kit for a sample so that you can start making your own.

NEEDS:
Prayer for the team members going to Haiti, Santa Rosa, New Orleans with the gospel~ for protection, provision and to be used in a mighty way to glorify our Lord.

PRAISES:

We received literally 1,000 lbs of baby clothes from the RAVEN Amarillo team this past August! Those clothes and ones we had gathered previous were sorted and packaged into baby kits that have gone literally to the ends of the earth where team members have taken the gospel to: Liberia, Africa, Italy, Guadalajara, Baja, Mexico City, Syria, Jordan, Israel, TJ Garbage Dumps, Tsunami survivors in American Samoa, Leper Community in Jakarta Indonesia & earthquake survivors in Padang, Indonesia, five different neighborhoods and homeless pregnant & single mommies in our city. Next week baby kits are going with team members to Australia, then sixty "Christmas Baby Kits" are going with Streetwise Ministry to Happy Birthday Jesus Party in Tijuana, Mexico and then with team members to Cambodia in January.

We now have a RAVEN Mobile Baby Boutique! We can use the new box truck to keep the street baby showers going through the winter months! Last night we reached dozens of women in our front yard and across town with the gospel message and they were blessed with a baby boutique in a box truck pulled up to the curb of their housing community! We have signs all over town for women to contact our team for prayer, free doula support & baby clothes.

From your homes to inside our living room, to our front yard, to the local abortion clinic and across the city, USA and to the jungles 10,000 miles away, we have had the opportunity to extend the LOVE of JESUS CHRIST to hundreds, probably thousands of men, women and children this summer and fall. THANK YOU for your ongoing prayers and gently used baby items being dropped off and brought to our home!

Please don't grow weary!
Take the gospel message to the unborn and pregnant women in your community!
Please pray without ceasing for the unborn!

If you would like some RAVEN Baby Kits or ideas on how to put some together, email me, they are handy at EVERY outreach you go to~ Street Baby Showers, Tenderloin, Skidrow, College, Abortion Clinics, hospitals, wherever! These kits are handy and helpful when Restoring a mommy's Vision back to JESUS in the often 'desperate' time of preganancy! We use them as humble offerings to remind men & women that the LORD is our provider, HE is faithful and just! Many are facing the difficult 'decision' of how to provide for their unborn child, especially during the times we are finding ourselves in.
